Ryzen 7000 X3D Spotted
A wide variety of tests were conducted, but we’ll focus on a few indicated by Videocardz. Guess what? Since these CPUs also feature the RTX 4090, it gives us more reason to believe these are review units. The performance is not the major concern, since we’ll probably have to wait for in-game benchmarks. Do note that extra cache does not always translate to higher synthetic performance gains. Additionally, AotS is not the best benchmarking utility for comparing CPUs/GPUs. Simply put, the performance levels differ by a huge margin and there are better options out there. A user has pointed out that even a 12700K with a decent Ampere GPU manages to attain 10900 points.
Ryzen 7000 X3D Specs & Release Date
The Ryzen 9 7950X3D packs 16 cores / 32 threads and a massive 144MB of total cache. This is a slight decrease from the 192MB, we speculated before, but still, 1.8x more than the base 7950X. This CPU will have an extremely fast 5.7GHz boost with a 4.2GHz base frequency. It will cost consumers $699 on launch and will arrive alongside the 7900X3D on the 28th of February, 2023. After that is the Ryzen 9 7900X3D with 12 cores / 24 threads and 140MB of total cache. The base and boost frequency for this CPU stands at 4.4GHz and 5.6GHz. This CPU comes in at a decent price point of $599 and will hit shelves on 28th February. From the Ryzen 7 family, AMD has launched one X3D CPU namely the Ryzen 7 7800X3D which is packed with 8 cores and 16 threads. This CPU offers a slightly slower max frequency of 5GHz, with the base frequency lying in the 4-5GHz range. We believe that the 7800X3D will be the most competitive CPU in this lineup. For the moment of truth, AMD has decided to price the Ryzen 7 7800X3D at $449. It will be available for purchase starting from the 6th of April, 2023. So those interested in buying the 7800X3D will have to wait a bit.
