You may encounter two variants of this issue:

Stuck on Fire Logo Screen: Your device is immobile on the Fire logo screen and doesn’t proceed further.Home Screen Missing: Although the device boots up successfully, the Home screen fails to show. You can launch apps using the remote, but pressing the Home button yields no response. This often occurs with an error message: “Home screen is currently unavailable.”

Before you begin: Check the available internal space

Remember to check the internal storage space whenever you are able to access the Home screen during the troubleshooting. Navigate to Settings > Applications > Manage Installed Applications and ensure there is more than 500 MB available. If not, delete some applications to free up storage space.

1. Wait for the Completion of the Update

If the Home screen isn’t displayed while your Fire Stick is booting, it could be due to an ongoing update that’s taking longer than usual. In this case, waiting for a while might resolve the issue.

2. Restart the Firestick and Router

Your Fire Stick might not load the home screen if it’s caught in an error loop. A restart of both the Firestick and the router often solves the problem.

Cold Restart

Extend the Power-Off Time

3. Try Another HDMI Cable or Port

The Home screen loading issue could stem from incompatibility with the current HDMI cable or port. Using a different cable or port may resolve the issue.

4. Try Another Power Source and Supply

If the power source is inadequate or the power supply is incompatible or faulty, the Fire Stick might struggle to load correctly. To troubleshoot this, try an alternative power source and supply.

Use Another Power Source

Try Another Power Cable or Adapter

5. Clear the Cache of the Fire Device

Invalid cache data on your Fire TV can prevent it from loading the Home screen. In such a case, clearing the device’s cache might be the solution.

6. Check for Electromagnetic Interference

Electromagnetic interference can affect the functioning of electronic components. If such interference is disrupting the normal operation of your Fire Stick, it could lead to the Home screen loading problem. Check for and eliminate electromagnetic interference to get your Fire device working correctly again.

Check for Interference

Change the Router Channel

If your Fire Stick operates appropriately after the router is powered down, the issue could be due to channel incompatibility. Changing the router channel might be the solution.

7. Factory Reset the Fire Stick

When essential OS components of the Fire Stick are corrupted due to an improperly applied update, the device may fail to load the Home screen. A factory reset could address this issue. Even after a factory reset, if the problem reappears, reset the device again and when prompted to load apps during the setup process, select No Thanks before proceeding.
