In this article, we’ll share our findings and provide reliable techniques to confirm if someone has blocked you on Snapchat, just removed their account, or unfriended you.
Signs You Might Be Blocked, Unfriended, or the Account was Deleted
Through our experiments, we’ve discovered distinct signs that indicate whether someone has blocked you, deleted their account, or unfriended you on Snapchat. Here are the signs specific to each situation: Signs of Being Blocked:
You can’t find their account when you search their username.Their chat history has disappeared from your conversations.Your snaps and messages will not be delivered, but instead, show a pending status if you had previously interacted with them.
Signs of Being Unfriended: You find their account in the search results, but any snap or message you send is marked as pending or grey. This means they have removed you as a friend. Signs of a Deleted Account: You can’t find their account when you search their username, similar to being blocked. However, you’ll need to verify by another method such as asking a mutual friend or using a temporary account. We’ve tested our accounts and found out how to determine if you were blocked or unfriended. Here are our methods:
Method 1: Through Chat History
Our first step is to check if you can send them messages and snaps.
Scenario 1:
You found their account, and the text you sent is blue. This means you are neither blocked nor unfriended.
Scenario 2:
You found their account, but the text you sent is either pending or grey. This indicates you’ve been unfriended.
Scenario 3:
You can’t find their account, which means they either deleted their account or blocked you. To confirm, proceed to Method 2.
Important Note: Before assuming you have been blocked or the account is deleted, ensure that you have entered the username correctly. Even a small typo can lead to a false conclusion. Proceed with the next method to verify the situation accurately.
Method 2: Ask a Friend or Create a New Account to Verify
If you can’t find the user after searching for them, ask one or two friends to search the username. If they can find it, then you’ve sadly been blocked. If they can’t find the account, then the user has deleted their account. If you don’t want to ask friends, try this (for privacy reasons): If you find their account, then your other account has been blocked. If you can’t find their account, then they deleted their Snapchat account. Note: If you’ve been blocked, don’t be disheartened. Social media is not real life and should not affect your mental health.
