For Altman’s replacement, OpenAI’s board appointed former Twitch CEO and co-founder Emmett Shear to lead OpenAI. Microsoft and Sam Altman have had a close relationship since the company integrated OpenAI technology into its services. Additionally, Microsoft has invested $10 billion in OpenAI since its launch, and with Altman’s appointment, it seems like the partnership will grow even more.
