For starters, the phone is slated to come with a much improved SoC, presumably the Dimensity 9300, which, according to early benchmarks, just manages to outperform Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The Find X6 also boasted an intriguing design and finish that gained positive reviews from critics worldwide. Now, it appears that X7 will be getting the same treatment. According to Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the first leaked images for the alleged prototype for the Oppo Find X7 have surfaced online, which seem to showcase an interesting design choice. Oppo has opted for an octagonal camera housing, which showcases a striking resemblance to its predecessor, but also manages to form an identity of its own. Other than that, the sheer size of the camera module does point to the fact that photography would be a major selling point for this phone. After all, the Find X6 was praised for its camera results, securing it’s place as the number 1 phone on the DxOMark global image ranking list for quite some time. It was also one of the first in the industry to embrace the 1-inch sensor within a smartphone. According to multiple reports, the Find X7 is slated to have a dual-periscope lens setup with a SONY LYT900 1-in main sensor with the Hasselblad XCD lens. The phone will release soon, presumably in January, so it’ll be interesting to see how things pan out. This is all we know for now, but rest assured that we will keep you updated as new information becomes available.
