RTX 3050 6GB: The Cheapest RTX

While the original RTX 3050 did not pass every test with flying colors, one should not expect miracles from this GPU. A product listing from MSI suggests a 20% decrease in the total number of cores from 2560 to just 2048 CUDA Cores. The RTX 3050 6GB still uses a 32 ROP configuration, with 16 RT Cores and 64 Tensor Cores, 4 and 16 less than the RTX 3050 8GB respectively. The total die size for the GA107-325 chip comes out to be 200mm^2, 27% smaller, however, the TDP is still listed at 130W. The RTX 3050 requires a 1x 6-pin PCIe connector for power delivery. The base and boost clocks are rated at 1552MHz and 1807MHz, quite reachable within the 130W TDP. In terms of I/O, this specific MSI Ventus model has 1x HDMI 2.1, and 3x DisplayPort 1.4a ports. It is pertinent to mention that Videocardz has received conflicting information from AIB partners. We’ll likely get a clearer picture once the product launches. This leak proves that the RTX 3050 6GB is just around the corner so expect to see benchmarks very soon. Source: E-Tec , ditech
