While lager software support has become somewhat of a competition and trend at this, it’ll take some time to see if there is a catch involved. After all, last year’s devices are stuck to 4 years of updates while this year, you get 7 years of carefree software experience. Needless to say, this is a huge time, primarily because it fulfills the lifespan of an average phone and it is unlikely that it would continue to function the same as some of the newer devices. With that being said, Samsung had to justify the $100 price bump somewhere and this just seems to be one of those cases (even though the vanilla variants retain the same price). The company has set a goal of incorporating at least one recycled material in every module of every phone it manufactures till 2030.
