Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 ‘For Galaxy’ Struggles to Surpass 2M Points on AnTuTu in Early Benchmarks
While pre-release hardware results on AnTuTu and Geekbench did indicate that both SoCs are comparable, the real-life testing will reveal the true story. After Unpacked, Vietnamese YouTuber Khôi Ngọng managed to run AnTuTu on both S24 devices to check for differences where he observed a considerable performance gap. The S24 Ultra, equipped with 8G3 FG, achieved 1,814,945 points, while the S24 Plus with Exynos 2400 only reached a peak of 1,699,940 points—a gap of over 7%. However, these scores may not necessarily reflect the true capabilities of these chipsets. The S24 Ultra did receive a huge vapor chamber upgrade, and both phones are still running pre-release hardware. This means that differences in stability and performance could emerge.
Exynos 2400’s GPU Outperforms Apple’s A17 Pro, But Still Lags Behind Adreno 750 (8G3)
Not only that, but the Exynos 2400 performs exceptionally well for the GPU. The 3DMark Wildlife Extreme scores, posted on X by Nguyen Phi Hung, show that the chipset outshines its predecessor, scoring 4,042 points with an average framerate of 24FPS. When comparing this to the competition, it surpasses Apple’s newest A17 Pro, which apparently is capable of running AAA console titles. On the flip side, however, it still doesn’t beat the Adreno 750 on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which scores about 5.3K in the same test with an average framerate of around 32-34FPS.
